Conversion rateExperienced businessmen, marketers and designers know that conversion rates depend on numerous factors. Content is one of the most important factors in the list. Successfully built content is able to boost sales greatly! These are six factors of  building a content that can save your conversion or at least influence it.

1. Concrete content

There is a great temptation  to describe an offer in general terms. The majority does the same. However, this approach is not efficient at all. No one will believe you, reading statements that your brand is the best of the best without seeing strong proves and indisputable facts.

Make the content sound more specific and the trust of users will grow. Each offer must be concrete revealing the unique features of your service. This approach works with a call to action as well. In other words, get rid of uncertain phrases. If you want to increase customers’ trust, give them facts.

2. Do not try to be the smartest

Do you like to use impressive words on your landing page? The problem is that your clients will hardly appreciate it. Texts written in simple language allow users to quickly grasp the necessary information. Pun, alliteration and high style only confuse customers. A specific vocabulary and jargon are good, but only if the target audience undertands the meaning. Speak the language of your audience.

3. Get rid of useless images

An image is worth a thousand words, right? Not always. Boring images and standard icons may well kill a desire to order from your web site. Remove irrelevant illustrations! Better late than never.

4. Be honest

When talking to your client face to face, you are honest, polite and helpful. You are trying to provide the customer with a genuine advice. But when you are writing a text for the landing page (for your customers), you become a different person. The content is full of exaggeration and unnecessary exclamation. Beware of exclamation marks, they faithfully indicate an incompetent copywriter.

When writing the text, read it in a loud voice. Does it sound sincere? Do you believe yourself? Try to write honestly and simply.

5. Is your content relevant?

As a rule, when starting work on the creation of the landing page, the heading is created first of all.  Then you make a subheading and a bulleted list. However, the rules can be broken.

To create a successful landing page, you need to act differently. Specify the final goal and move from this goal to the top:

-      draw the main purpose of the page and write a call to action;

-      explore the target- group and its basic needs;

-      specify objections that may arise;

-      write the text, telling your clients about the benefits and try to guess possible objections.

Irrelevant endless sentences kill conversion. Focus on the product / service and the needs of clients.

6. Do you believe in power of generous offers?

Everybody loves gifts. Freebies can really make miracles. However, marketers and businessmen often forget that the gifts are good, when they are relevant and really free of charge. Promote information about freebies as if you are taking money for it. List what the customer will receive after reading. Post testimonials and other social proofs. Do not think that freebies can be a sufficient reason to register or fill in a form. Always explain how you deal with the specific problems of the people and how your service will change their lives for the better.

Remember, a well-tailored content encourages the reader to action. The text is practically  tempting your customer. In order to create such a content for the landing page, you should listen and learn. Which words and phrases your customers use? What are they dreaming of? What do they like and  hate? Only with the help of penetration to the consciousness of the target audience you can create a truly efficient text and powerful landing page.
