What will you do when you come across fake reviews about you on the web? Definitely answering and posting fake reviews is not the solution. The good reviews have more lasting impression on the readers mind as compared to the negative reviews. After seeing fake reviews about you, it is time for you to manage the reviews with good ones, that don’t come easily but if you give enough time to the company and their exposure to your clients the reviews will be above your expectations.

Giving your reviews to be managed by some unprofessional companies will only end up having fake reviews which will again lead to negative impact over your reputation. In the meanwhile, a good reputation management company will push down the negative reviews from the first few pages on Google to give you time to combat them.

Fake reviews always come in the spotlight when there is:

1-      Improper use of grammar

The reviewer has a poor sense of English and it clearly shows by the way he has commented, many of the reputation management company will pass on the work to some foreign country where the natives might not be good in English hence the bad language. This is one of the easiest ways to spot a fake review which is put up online.

2-      Too exaggerated

What do you think when a comment is too good to be true, you understand it’s a gimmick or a paid up review from someone in your own company. Avoid that! When it comes to a point when there is only consistent mentioning of exaggerated statements without any possible sense of flaw displayed anywhere it is a sure sign that the review is too good to be true and that it cannot be authentic in any manner.

3-      Common review

Sometimes when you are reading the reviews you may find it strange to read a review about a particular product on a website of a service company. Some reputation management companies don’t bother to check the reviews or customize it, hence one review fits all.

4-      Quality of reviews in short span of time

Reviews that are listed spontaneously are no way to be trusted because generally reviews don’t come overnight. When you spot the reviews are being posted in a very short span of time, it is easy to understand that the reviews have been posted by the same person or is a form of paid up reviews. Setting up an online customer review system the right way normally takes time and there is a gap of time in it.

Reputation management advice is of great deal help to tackle these trends of increase in the number of fake reviews that pop up online these days. It may happen when your competitors steal your traffic which is meant for your company name and try their hand at damaging your company’s reputation online by leaving behind fake or negative comments about your company.
